Alice was commissioned by a client who loves Margaret Keane's big-eye paintings from the 1970s.

ARTIST STATEMENT
As an enthusiastic and dedicated artist with a diverse background in painting, murals, graphic design, website design, and media arts, I am deeply committed to making art accessible to all. My professional journey includes valuable internships with organizations such as the California Institute of the Arts, the Connecticut Old State House, and SelinsgroveSTART. I have had the privilege of working with individuals of all ages, from young children to seniors, fostering creativity and appreciation for the arts across diverse communities.
Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Studio Arts and Women, Gender, and Sexuality at Trinity College. Alongside my academic pursuits, I am an active volunteer at The Bushnell, Out Film CT, PFLAG Hartford, Playhouse on Park, CT Forum, and the Hartford Artisan Weaving Center. Additionally, I am a proud member of the bell choir at my church.
One of my core beliefs is that art should be inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of socio-economic status. I am inspired by the vibrant art scene in Hartford, where residents can freely access a world-class museum like the Wadsworth Athenium. The growing presence of murals throughout the city also resonates with my passion for public art and community enrichment.
I am particularly interested in integrating art and education to create interactive and engaging experiences. A prime example of this approach is "The Southern Ocean" mural I created in 2021, where I incorporated Morse code to encourage young children to explore and learn about aquatic life. This project embodies my belief that art has the power to educate, inspire, and unite people across different age groups and backgrounds.
I am eager to continue exploring innovative ways to combine art, education, and community involvement. If you share my passion for art and would like to discuss potential collaborations or simply chat about artistic endeavors, please feel free to reach out to me via email at [email protected]. I look forward to connecting with fellow art enthusiasts and exploring new opportunities to make art more accessible and impactful in our communities.
Thank you for considering my perspective, and I hope to hear from you soon.
